We would like to inform you that Madagascar Professional Training Centre is a qualified Test Centre of PEARSON Education UK in Antananarivo, Madagascar. Therefore, we encourage the learners to take the International
PTE General Test twice a year. Pearson Language Tests (PTE) delivers PTE General and PTE Young Learners in asso-ciation with Edexcel, a Pearson Company in United Kingdom.
PTE General Test Dates: winter examination sessions will be as follow;

The PTE General is a Pearson Test of English General (PTE General), formerly known as LTE, is a scenario based English language proficiency test. There are six levels and the tests are designed to allow students the freedom to express themselves, to show what they can do and how well they can use English.
Level A1: Foundation – this test is for test takers with a beginner knowledge of English; sufficient for survival in social, travel and everyday situations. Test takers will be expected to understand very short, simple information and to express themselves simply and briefly, in speech and in writing.
Level 1: Elementary – this test is for test takers with a basic command of English to cope with language needs for social, travel and everyday purposes. Test takers will be expected to understand straightforward information and to express themselves in speech and in writing.
Level 2: Intermediate – this test is for test takers with intermediate English for practical use in study, work, travel and other everyday purposes. Test takers will be expected to understand and express in speaking, and writing in-formation, ideas, feelings, opinions and common functions about everyday situations in straightforward spoken and written language.
Level 3: Upper Intermediate – this test is for test takers who use or will use an upper intermediate level of English for their personal, social, educational or working life. Test takers will be expected to understand and respond ap-propriately to the purpose, information and points of view in spoken and written communication of the kind re-quired in a variety of study, work, every day and leisure-related contexts in daily life.
Level 4: Advanced – this test is for test takers who are applying for higher education in an English speaking institu-tion and/or are wishing to demonstrate an advanced level in English for social, academic and vocational purposes. Test takers will be expected to understand the explicit and implicit meaning of an extensive range of complex, written and spoken communication in social, academic and professional contexts, and to express experiences, opinions and attitudes accurately, appropriately, flexibly and effectively in the spoken and written form.
Level 5: Proficient – This test is for test takers who are applying for higher education in an English-speaking institu-tion and/or are wishing to demonstrate a high level of proficiency in English for social, academic and professional purposes. Test takers will be expected to understand stated and unstated functions and the explicit and implicit meaning of the content of written and spoken communication in a wide range of social, academic and professional contexts, and to express themselves in the spoken and written form effectively with a high degree of accuracy,
appropriacy and style.
